The first time I read it I missed the beauty of the writing because I was so intent on trying to figure out the plot. This is news to - don't try to understand it, just relax and enjoy. capitalisation - nope, not stressed at all. I felt it gave me some insight into Piranesi's mind, although not - re. Maybe because I learned German in school and they write all nouns with a capital letter. And the Other feels just irritation and obstacles and impatience. I feel like this also shows a lot how Piranesi is feeling about the House - with awe and wonder and respect and gratitude. What I noticed while reading Part 2 (the Other) was that (view spoiler) [when the Other speaks (I mean when Piranesi has written into the journal about what the Other has said), then no capitalization are used at any of the words/nouns.
